Sample Website Templates
- The following four website templates can be downloaded and edited using any text editor such as Notepad++ or Dreamweaver. (Microsoft Word should be avoided!)
- Templates include Geography and UW-Madison logos that link to department and UW-Madison home pages.
- All elements of these templates are easily changed or deleted. Please take Doit's CSS/HTML courses and consult web design resources to the right.
To create your web page from one of these templates:
- Save the zipfile to your computer.
- Extract files and save to hard drive
- To view and test locally, open "index.html or "index.htm" in your web browser
- To edit, open .html/.htm files in your text editor, make changes, and save file
- upload to a webserver such as MyWebSpace
