The Worldwide Universities network is an international alliance of leading higher-education institutions, building on its partners' commitment to research quality and innovation in order to develop collaborations in interdisciplinary areas of global significance.

WUN provides support for student and faculty exchange, both within the alliance and with corporate partners. In addition, the partners work together to deliver transnational graduate-level distributed learning. WUN enhances student choice and pedagogical effectiveness by sharing learning materials, pooling expertise and developing frameworks for quality assurance and accreditation.

WUN also offers enhanced opportunities for the formation of multi-disciplinary teams and collaboration, innovative research through sharing ideas and expertise in rapidly developing areas, synergy from the application of complementary expertise and techniques, wider access to unique facilities.
