Dr. Erhard Mielenhausen
President, Fachhochschule Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences (Germany), and Vice-President, German Vice Chancellors' Conference Erhard Mielenhausen has served as President of the Fachhochschule Osnabrück since 1994, after serving as Rector from 1981-1985, and 1989-1994. Since 2000 he has been Vice-President of the German Vice Chancellors' Conference (HRK), and also acts as spokesperson of the HRK Fachhochschule Member Group.
Prof. Dr. Mielenhausen also sits on many scientific commission and committees within Germany-he is a member of the Science Council (Wissenschaftsrat), Academic Advisory Board of the Centre for Higher Education Development, and of the Institute for Structural Research and Development Planning at the University of Hannover. In addition, he serves as a reviewer for DAAD and EU programs. Prof. Dr. Mielenhausen earned his doctorate from the Institute of Marketing at the University of Mannheim. He worked for a Munich-based consulting company before accepting an appointment as Professor of Business Administration and Marketing at Osnabrück in 1976.
